Dr. Kort
Dr. Rich Kort was born and raised in B.C. He moved to Saskatchewan to practice optometry with his wife Dr. Carmela Giocoli at InSight Vision Care in 2005. Dr. Kort earned his Doctorate of Optometry with Honours status at the University of Waterloo in 2002. After graduation, Dr. Kort completed a Contact Lens Residency at the university. The emphasis of his residency was fitting specialty contact lenses and conducting research in continuous wear contact lenses and corneal reshaping therapy. Dr. Kort was awarded the 2002 Canadian Contact Lens Society Prize for proficiency in theoretical and clinical application of contact lenses. Dr. Kort was a finalist in Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (SYPE)'s "Young Professional of the Year" award in 2008.
Dr. Kort is also proud of his charitable eye care missions. He has enjoyed four trips to Jamaica with Canadian Vision Care to provide free eye care and eyeglasses to impoverished Jamaican people.
Besides his special interest in contact lenses, Dr. Kort enjoys providing all aspects of family eye and vision care at InSight Vision Care's Downtown and Northwest locations.
